February 24th 1-4pm

 4067 Calhoun St., Homer

Students will learn to use a loom to weave assorted fabric strips into a sturdy, long-lasting rug using a traditional weaving technique known as twining.  For this beginning class students will use a small wooden loom and will complete a "rug" approximately 10 in. x 14 in.  The class will be 2 to 3 hours. The loom and fabrics will be provided and become the property of the student.

About your Instructor, Paula Riley: My mother learned how to twine rugs during the Depression and gave me her loom when she could no longer make them.  I have been twining about 20 years, making rugs for family and for sale.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Registration for this class means that you have read and accept Homer Folk School's policies on refunds, media releases and liability waivers.
